Clothesline Project

Join Us for the Fourth Annual Clothesline Project

This October, the Department of Criminal Justice will host the Fourth Annual Clothesline Project—an interactive, campus-wide exhibit where each handmade t-shirt tells a survivor’s story and stands as a powerful witness to the reality of interpersonal violence.

Over the past three years, this event has brought together 18 local agencies and campus offices, welcomed over 2,000 attendees, and created nearly 400 shirts—each carrying a voice that might otherwise have gone unheard. The stories shared, the conversations sparked, and the healing that began highlight just how vital this project is to our community. Read more about last year’s event here.

This year’s theme, Your Voice Has Power, reflects our vision for an even greater impact: more voices, more stories, and more resources for survivors. But we need the strength of the NMSU community to make it happen.

📅 Date: October 21, 2025
🕘 Time: 9 AM – 5 PM
📍 Location: Corbett Center – Aggie Lounge

We invite all students, faculty, and staff to take part—whether by creating a shirt, standing in witness, or learning more about how to take action. Your presence amplifies the message of solidarity, resilience, and hope.

Together, we can create change. Your Voice Has Power—use it.
