PLO1 - Evaluate the effectiveness of existing criminological intervention programs by applying advanced theoretical models and empirical research.
PLO2 - Synthesize theoretical concepts and propose coherent strategies to include objectives, methods, and evaluation criteria.
PLO3 - Design a comprehensive criminological intervention program by integrating multiple theoretical frameworks to address a specific criminal justice issue.
PLO4 - Critically evaluate and compare the effectiveness of different research methodologies used in criminal justice studies.
PLO5 - Design a research study to investigate a contemporary issue in criminal justice.
PLO 6: Critically evaluate ethical or social construction ideologies which create dilemmas within the criminal justice system while applying ethical principles or criminological theories and/or perspectives to make informed decisions that prioritize the well-being of individuals and society.
Goal 1: Students will understand and apply criminological theory
Our students will employ the ideas, concepts, and principles related to theories of crime and justice. Students master the links between theoretical abstractions and empirical data on crime and justice. Students use discipline-related theories to form and address research questions.
Goal 2: Students will be competent in the use of research methods
Students will master the Vocabulary and Application Skills in Social Science Data and Methods. They will devise competent strategies to address research questions and scenarios.
